Happy.

Several years ago during a high school volleyball season, friendships were formed. While waiting between games, a few of us females got lunch together and found out we could make a really nice group of friends. None of our lives are exactly the same, but the common bonds are built......

I met up with these girls while the electric in our area was out after work tonight, so the timing was just right smile emoticon Who knew having planned this many weeks ago it would be the perfect time....... We can learn from each other, encourage each other, and support one another in different stages in life.

And they tell me I seem so happy............ smile emoticon

I keep wondering what has to give and when, as I ponder the things I really want to do in my life. But as for now, my two jobs, writing on the side, and building connections are what it's about for me. And of course, pushing my kids to be the best they can be.........

I sometimes wonder why we expect so much more out of the younger generation when we as adults can't even get it together. ‪#‎hypocritcal‬.
We have an ideal we expect each to live up to, even though we often struggle to just maintain our own lives.

My late husband was more of a rule follower than I, at times correcting me when he thought my actions or words were not quite appropriate. I can't say I liked that very much lol and I am not sure what he would think now, or if he's even watching from above..........

I do know however, I have found a new freedom I always believed existed, less stuffy and judgmental, and more balanced and faith-filled.

And happier.
