Love Never Fails

"If you love something, or someone, set it free."

I have heard this quote countless times over my lifetime, but until I come face to face with the task, in each instance, there is no way to predict its outcome...... or the heartache involved in this process of ....... letting go. There is a price to pay to know the rewards of sacrificial love.

When given out, poured from my heart, I empty myself. Perhaps some would call this a "mother's love" which I am well acquainted with. I would like to believe on this International Women's Day, this may be a blessing I as a woman, am able to bestow on another, as one who is able to bear life....... granting "life" to another and freedom to find fulfillment.

With 5 years from becoming a widow at age 43, with four kids in the prime of their lives, I am familiar with the feeling of letting go...... suddenly. There are no words that I can share that will tell you how to do it because each story has its own history....... what I can tell you is that had I not learned to let go of what I could not control or understand, I would not be where I am at today.......

You see, the Lord in heaven that I have come to trust in, knew that so many, many years ago, I would need to learn to let go, leave everything I knew behind, in order to trust in my future in Him. He designs my future. He knows my present. He redeems my past. Nothing is impossible. Love never fails........

If I am the recipient of feeling set free, I am forever grateful. Remaining free is my commitment to fulfill of the great love bestowed upon me.

1 Corinthians 13 of the Bible tells us that there are a lot of behaviors that really do not matter much, but love is the one thing that remains throughout eternity. According to the Word and In my own experience, "true love" is not self centered, does not remember all my shortcomings and failures; this kind of love lives in the truth, always protects, trusts, hopes, and endures.

Very few have been the recipient of this kind of love, which if healthy, and should always be growing. There is a supernatural, heavenly love available to all, as well as connections on earth we are meant to make. Wherever you find yourself today, appreciate it. Before you know it, it may be gone.......

Make the most of your life..... and loves.
