It remains amazing to me how we all often look for acceptance, but time and again, do not know how to receive when we finally get it........
I think of the story of Mary, the young mother from the New Testament, who was asked to accept something into her life, way beyond her control. In fact, it wasn't even on her radar....... something impossible she never imagined herself having to accept.
Her response to a life change to say the least has often inspired me, challenging me to step into a journey I myself, never could have dreamed up. I imagine many who read this, and have ears to hear, can understand and identify with such a soul.........
A verse many, many years ago helped carry me through times of betrayal and forbearance, when I seem to be asked to deal with crap that was unfair. The verse from Galatians 2 spoke to me and helped me realize that I needed to "die daily" to my own desires if I was ever to do anything beyond my own imagination..........
In those days that felt like "loss", I began to learn to live and trust the One who could dream up the most incredible possibilities for my life.......
As I am as hurried and harried as the next person, I remind myself that putting my trust in a power higher and greater than myself is how I am still here. During this season and into 2016, I believe and know we will see some pretty remarkable things. #dreamingbigin16
What Mary was called to carry required much on her part, but as with many things, the rewards were immense. She was able to see far more by saying yes than if she could have walked away from the opportunities that came from her sacrifice........
On your own journey in this special season, perhaps it is worth asking what if you are carrying something that could change the course of history.........
